Men more comfortable with women enhancing their looks
A new poll has found that more men are becoming comfortable with the idea of women enhancing their appearance through cosmetic surgery.
Of the 500 men surveyed, there’s only a two per cent gap between the number of men who say they are turned off by facial cosmetic surgery, and men who say they don’t mind.
Many of the respondents said they would accept cosmetic surgery carried out to enhance undesirable features, like rhinoplasty and liposuction, but that they prefer a natural look.
“For me natural beauty means a lot but after the cosmetic surgery if the girl looks more sexy or cute I might get turned on,” said Harshad Karmarkar, who was part of the survey conducted by DNA After Hours.
Around the world, cosmetic surgery is becoming increasingly accepted as a way to emphasise and improve features on both men and women. Despite hard financial times around the world, more patients are choosing non-surgical cosmetic procedures to boost their looks on a budget.
A recent study in the UK even found that one in five British men would like their wives to go under the knife. Liposuction and breast enlargement topped the list of plastic surgery procedures that men would like to see their wives choose.
While women are receiving cosmetic surgery boosts, more men are choosing to go under the knife as well. A survey released this month from Men’s Health magazine revealed that Botox injections, chest reductions and face and brow lifts are the cosmetic surgery procedures of choice for most men.
