Laser hair removal increasingly popular in the UK
A recently released report has discovered an all-time high in the demand for laser hair removal treatments.
The report found that patients are looking to take the hassle out of Christmas with the help of laser hair removal. The stress of juggling work, family commitments and Christmas shopping has led to a boom in the cosmetic procedure, with bookings up by 25 per cent throughout November.
“I’ve just had laser hair removal for the first time after a colleague recommended I give it a try,” said Jennifer O’Callaghan, a patient of the procedure.
“With three children, a full-time job and Christmas coming up, I simply don’t get the leisure time to sit in the bath and groom myself. Since having the treatment I’ve been able to throw out my razors, epilator and hair removal creams - it’s fantastic.”
The process, which quickly and gently removes all unwanted hair permanently, can be used on all parts of the body including the face, bikini-line, under arms, legs, nipples and tummy-line.
“Laser hair removal is our most popular non-surgical procedure amongst women,” said Liz Dale, director of the Harley Medical Group, which commissioned the report.
“Every year, in the run up to Christmas, we have a rush of people into our clinics wanting to look their absolute best. Non-surgical treatments offer affordable and accessible solutions to take the stress out of your beauty regime and giving you one less thing to worry about this festive season.”
The report echoes recent findings that show an increase in popularity of less expensive non-surgical treatments like Botox treatments, skin peels and wrinkle-relaxing injections.
